I remember being shocked at the existence of infanticide in Ethiopia as well; that was something we read about in ancient literature, not modern day life to encounter so closely.

How wonderful that you have been adopted as a sister church by these beautiful people in Redlands! Wouldn't it be great if each mission/hospital overseas could experience the adoption of a 'wealthier', large church here in the US, who prays regularly for them and sends volunteers and donations as able.
